Things I’ve Learned as a Norwegian Singer in New York
Seena
If you’re new here: I’m Seena, a Norwegian singer based in New York.
Here are some of the things I’ve learned along the way as a singer, songwriter and bandleader:
1. You need to make time for your projects.
If you don’t plan for it, it won’t happen.
Make sure to schedule whatever you want to get done ahead of time.
It sounds simple, but that’s also why a lot of people don’t think to put it in their calendar.
Months pass and all of sudden your inspiration got lost in other busy work.
2. Things take time.
Almost every step of creating anything in this world requires time and energy.
Let time be your asset and stay in the game.
Don’t give up just because you posted about your art twice and it didn’t blow up.
3. Maintain your relationships.
Go the extra mile when you can: for yourself, for your band, for the audience or the client.
Ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing,
and who you are doing it for.
Positive energy begets positive energy and that’s how you create a fun life with lasting memories.
