3 Days In London

My lovely view at Kitchen Table restaurant

My lovely view at Kitchen Table restaurant.

Currently in London hanging out with my dad
for his 70th birthday.
We’re staying in a cool Airbnb in Fritzovia and have been hitting some great restaurants like Kitchen Table.
Sharing a few shots and video blog with more coming soon!

Oyster taco at Kitchen Table.

My favorite food on this trip, so far, was the first course we enjoyed at Kitchen Table by James Knappet;
A fresh, meaty oyster-taco where the taco tortillas were composed of leaves.

If you’re a foodie, or you’re traveling with someone who is a gourmand,
I really recommend Kitchen Table.
The concept is: 19 seats around an open kitchen,
ability to witness food being prepared with some commentary by the chefs.
I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere with rock music from different decades;
Refreshing to enjoy a 2-star Michelin establishment without unnecessary and outdated pretentious vibes.

The cute salt and pepper set at Chiltern Firehouse.

If you’re looking for good vibes in a cool place you will also find them Saturday during brunch time at Chiltern Firehouse.
Love their steak tartare with chipotle sauce, and their cheeseburger hits the spot.

Will share my vlog from our trip on the blog when I’m done editing it.
Peace <3

Faith reaches what reason fails to touch

🦋The mystic begins by marveling at life, and to him it is a phenomenon at every moment.
🦋Every moment of your life is more valuable than anything else in this world.
🦋Love is a weapon that can break all obstacles on one’s path in life.

🦋Overlook the greatest fault of another, but do not partake of it in the smallest degree.
🦋A tender-hearted sinner is better than a saint hardened by piety.
🦋Each human personality is like a piece of music, having an individual tone and rhythm of its own.
🦋The best way to love is to serve.
🦋Pursuit of the impossible is the best game there is.
🦋We must forget the past, control the present and prepare the future.
- Hazrat Inayat Khan

Take It From Dolly

…Don't sweat the small stuff
Keep your chin up
Just hang tough
And if it gets too rough
Fall on your knees and pray
And do that everyday
Then you'll get to livin'.

The day we're born we start to die
Don't waste one minute of this life
Get to livin'
Share your dreams and share your laughter
Make some points for the great hereafter.

Better start carin'
Better start sharin'
Better start tryin'
Better start smiling
And you better get to livin'...

Don't Let Fanatics Write Our History

We can not let religious fanatics and warmongers - on either side - write our history.
If you care about values such as true democracy and women’s rights/equality, and true spirituality,
I hope that you will join me in doing your part in your daily life;
Doing your part by strengthening our cross-cultural bonds, our cross-religious bonds, our east/west bonds.
The most important bond we have is that we are all souls having this human experience.
The vast majority of us here on planet earth just want to live in peace.
Don’t forget it. Nurture it!
Lead with the heart and don’t let anyone persuade you otherwise.

People Got To Be Free

My cover of People Got The Be Free, The Rascals, 1969

We will all be free once we collectively decide to abandon dualism mentality
and embrace oneness mentality. To me, true freedom means un-judging and un-binding even your worst enemy. Freedom also comes with responsibility; If you consider yourself free and enlightened, it’s your responsibility to build bridges rather than burn them.
Individuals who live in societies where all peoples are free to express their opinion have a responsibility to participate domestically, and also to support freedom in the areas of our world where true freedom and true democracy is, or might be, jeopardized.
Open your heart and think for yourself.

Spiritual Basics

From my teacher Lars Muhl.
THE SPIRITUAL BASICS
1. Everything you send out will return to you.
2. Never say ‘I can’t do that’.
3. Provide help where help is needed.
4. Never make a fuss about anything.
5. Be free of seeking appreciation or applause.
6. Watch yourself: who are you when you are alone?
7. Let go of all masks, burdens and shadows.
8. Know that you are already enlightened and act accordingly.
9. If you are challenged by any actions, thoughts or emotions, meet them with patience and kindness.
10. Everything you are searching for outside, is to be found within you.
11. Think of others, and all fear dissapears.
12. Be both disciplined and creative, always vigilant and present.
13. Be grateful for what you have already received.
14. Stick to your practice without hesitation.
15. Remember: Joy is healing.
16. Never give up. Always give it up.
